Mosquitoes rank as one of the most annoying insects around. Not only are their bites mildly painful and itchy, but they can spread dangerous disease and viruses.  The West Nile Virus is a dangerous virus that is slowly gaining a foothold in the United States – and how is West Nile spread? Mosquitoes.

How do you control mosquitoes? The best way is to look for the environmental factors that are appealing to mosquitoes and eliminate them. Mosquitoes look for still water to lay their nests. In urban areas, that can mean something as simple as a puddle from a garden hose, a bird bath, a swimming pool, or any other water container.

Get rid of standing water, and you help make it difficult for mosquitoes to breed around your home. But that won’t completely eliminate the mosquitoes. You’ll still have mosquitoes coming around, from other nearby homes and properties.

You can fight off the mosquitoes with natural repellants, such as citronella candles, mosquito traps, and electrical zappers. A good inspection of all of your window screens will show possible entry points into your home. You also need to take a look at the areas under your home.  Water from leaky pipes that pool in your basement or crawl space can be a great breeding ground for mosquitoes.

We’ll check your home for access points that allow mosquitoes in and offer you solutions to get rid of these noxious creatures. There’s no reason that you have to put up with the annoyance or disruption of mosquitoes in your life.
